Fuel Tech Co. Faces Securities Suit Over Additives

Law360, New York (October 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A St. Louis-based fuel technology company is facing a securities suit from investors who claim the company over-hyped the ability of its fuel additives to improve fuel economy and are seeking to recover their losses.

In a complaint filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, International Fuel Technology Inc. is accused of making false statements to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and misleading investors about the potential for the company's products.
