Appeal Lodged In Pillsbury Winthrop Malpractice Feud

Law360, New York (October 6, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In the hope of reviving its $50 million legal malpractice suit against Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, the Capitol Hill Group has appealed a federal judge's decision to award the firm summary judgment.

Intent on recovering fees spent on bankruptcy representation it considers inadequate and overpriced, CHG lodged an appeal with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Friday, a month after the district court granted summary judgment to the law firm.
