Law360, Washington (October 20, 2015, 12:51 PM EDT) -- State Judge Ann Donnelly was confirmed as New York's newest federal judge Tuesday, with the U.S. Senate easily agreeing on her nomination to a slot on the state's Eastern District bench.
Senators voted 95-2 to confirm Donnelly, who will fill a vacancy left by Judge Sandra L. Townes' taking senior status. Townes' is one of three vacancies in the district; LaShann DeArcy Hall, a commercial litigator at Morrison & Foerster LLP, and federal Magistrate Judge Gary R. Brown have been nominated to fill the other two pending vacancies.
