High Court To Rule On Chapter 13 Conversions

Law360, New York (June 23, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- As debtors continue wrangling with the new bankruptcy law, the Supreme Court has agreed to take on a case that may shed light on whether a debtor automatically has the right to convert a Chapter 7 proceeding into a Chapter 13 case.

The High Court granted a writ of certiorari to Robert Louis Marrama earlier this week, putting his longstanding case on the schedule for the October 2006 term.
