Lawmakers Question FDA's Handling Of Actavis Recall

Law360, New York (October 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two U.S. congressmen are raising questions about the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's oversight of drug facilities in the wake of a major recall by Actavis Totowa LLC earlier this year.

The August recall came after an inspection by the FDA that found substandard conditions at an Actavis factory in Little Falls, N.J. The recall involved about 65 different prescription drugs, including painkillers, antidepressants, diet medications and drugs for blood pressure.
