Law360, New York (October 9, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- WildEarth Guardians on Tuesday asked a federal judge to overturn the U.S. Forest Service and Department of the Interior's decision to allow the expansion of a Colorado coal mine, saying the federal agencies did not adequately evaluate the options for safely dealing with the methane gas that is a by-product of coal mining.
The New Mexico-based environmental group filed the suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.
