ITC To Review 3 Of 6 Claims In SiRF-Broadcom Spat

Law360 (October 10, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has agreed to review an administrative law judge's initial determination that some GPS chips produced by SiRF Technology Holdings Inc. violate three patents owned by a unit of Broadcom Corp., but the agency affirmed the judge's infringement ruling on three other patents.

The ITC filed its notice of review Thursday, less than two months after both SiRF and the ITC appealed Administrative Law Judge Carl Charneski's initial ruling of infringement, according to Broadcom.
