In-House Counsel Brace For Litigation Uptick

Law360, New York (October 10, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The economy may be in tatters, but in-house legal counsel are expecting litigation numbers to jump and are preparing to shell out more money on legal staff in response, according to a survey to be released Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Houston-based Fulbright & Jaworski LLP released the results of its 2008 Litigation Survey Trends, which indicated a decline in the number of suits filed overall but a prevailing belief that the slackening pace will soon come to an end.
