Eurotunnel Calls For Investigation Of Rival Proposal

Law360, New York (June 28, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In the latest chapter of the acrimonious story of Eurotunnel’s efforts to restructure its enormous debt, the Channel Tunnel operator has asked French and English market authorities to investigate an alternate restructuring plan developed by Deutsche Bank over concerns that the proposed plan was deceptive.

Earlier this week, Eurotunnel rejected the plan spearheaded by Deutsche Bank—which grew out of frustration on the part of the company’s low-ranking debt holders.
