G-20 Leaders Endorse OECD Rules To Combat Tax Evasion
Law360, New York (November 16, 2015, 4:15 PM EST) -- Leaders of the G-20 nations on Monday gave their formal assent to a package of recommendations released in October by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development to crack down on tax base erosion and profit shifting by multinational corporations and urged that they be adopted widely and uniformly among member nations.
Consistent application of the rules, which address topics as varied as tax treaty dispute resolution, transfer pricing and information reporting, is essential to their success, the leaders said in a communique issued following a two-day summit in Antalya, Turkey.
