PhRMA Blasted Over Authorized Generics Study

Law360, New York (June 29, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In the wake of a new study lauding the competitive effects of authorized generics, the Generic Pharmaceutical Association has issued a blistering statement calling into question the reliability of the report.

"The GPhA believes that the press release and study unveiled by Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America regarding its assessment of the marketing of authorized generics misrepresents the real issues related to this practice,” said the organization.
