Cephalon Takes Another Blow Over Provigil

Law360, New York (June 30, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- As the battle over Cephalon Inc.’s narcolepsy drug Provigil continues to swell, generic drug maker Apotex has joined the fray, filing its own lawsuit accusing the pharmaceutical company and a slew of rival generic makers of barring competition by entering into a deal to delay introducing copycat versions of the drug.

The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, is the latest in a string of charges against Cephalon in recent months over modafinil, the active ingredient in Provigil....
