Burleson To Close Entire Firm At The End Of The Year

Law360, New York (November 23, 2015, 9:06 PM EST) -- Citing a downturn in revenues due to decreasing oil prices, Houston-based energy firm Burleson LLP will close all five of its offices by the end of the year, managing partner Richard Burleson confirmed Monday, saying that nearly 60 attorneys remain as the firm begins winding down.

Burleson, who founded his firm nearly 10 years ago and grew it from two attorneys to over 140 before hitting a revenue decline, spoke somberly in an interview with Law360 on Monday after announcing to the firm that operations would cease by Dec. 31.
