Baker & Daniels Hit With Malpractice Suit

Law360, New York (October 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Da-Lite Screen Co. Inc. has hit Baker & Daniels LLP with a $3 million malpractice suit, alleging the firm simultaneously represented its main competitor and did not disclose the conflict.

According to the suit, filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, Baker & Daniels never told Da-Lite that at the same time it was advising the company on patent matters, it was also representing Draper Inc., Da-Lite's primary competitor in the projection screen and audiovisual equipment market.
