Linens 'N Things Canada Files For Bankruptcy

Law360, New York (October 20, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Canadian subsidiary of the insolvent home furnishings chain Linens 'N Things has now filed for protection under the Canadian Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.

Linens ‘N Things Canada Corp. will appear before the Canadian court in the next week for approval to liquidate its Canadian business.

The Canadian subsidiaries were not included in the company’s voluntary Chapter 11 filing in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware last May.
