FERC Nixes Proposed Maine LNG Terminal

Law360, New York (October 20, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has pulled the plug on plans for a liquefied natural gas terminal on the Maine coast near the Canadian border.

FERC sent a letter on Friday to officials for Oklahoma-based Quoddy Bay LNG LLC stating that because the company had not responded to the agency's requests for additional information about the project, the application to construct the facility had been dismissed.
