Bershad, Feds Differ On Kickback Scheme Sentence

Law360, New York (October 21, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Prosecutors have asked a judge to set aside the recommendation of the U.S. Probation Office and sentence a former managing partner of the firm now known as Milberg LLP to three months behind bars.

In a motion filed by the prosecution Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, the U.S. Attorney's office advocated for David Bershad to receive a three-month prison sentence for his role in a kickback scheme.
