US Loses Bid To Toss Suit Over Utah Canyon

Law360, New York (October 22, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A lawsuit over the U.S. government's refusal to bar off-road vehicles from a scenic canyon in southeast Utah will move forward after a federal judge rejected the government's bid to toss the complaint.

In an order filed Monday, Judge Tena Campbell of the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah ruled two environmental groups could seek judicial review of the Bureau of Land Management's decision not to ban vehicles at Arch Canyon in San Juan County.
