Nacchio Trial Judge Resigns Amid Scandal

Law360, New York (October 22, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The federal judge who presided over the insider trading trial of former Qwest Communications International Inc. CEO Joseph P. Nacchio has announced his resignation amid allegations that he visited pornographic Web sites at work, visited a strip club and hired prostitutes.

Edward W. Nottingham, the chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, will resign on Oct. 29.
