La. Residents Launch Suit Over Fertilizer Plant Leak

Law360 (October 24, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Three Louisiana residents have filed a proposed class action accusing a fertilizer company of negligence in a sulfuric acid spill that temporarily shut down a plant and forced residents indoors.

On Oct. 15, in the 18th Judicial District Court, three residents of the Parish of Iberville, La. slapped a proposed class action on P.C.S. Nitrogen Fertilizer, in response to an Oct. 9 leak at its Geismar, La. plant.
