Court Strikes Down Policy Against Political Donations

Law360 (October 27, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Cincinnati municipal employees will be allowed to donate to political candidates in the days leading up to this year’s elections, despite a city policy forbidding such contributions, under an order issued in Ohio federal court.

Judge Michael R. Barrett or the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio granted a temporary restraining order Thursday preventing Cincinnati from enforcing a portion of the policy applying to political donations.
