Nigeria Case Settlement In Sight For Pfizer

Law360, New York (October 27, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Pfizer Inc. reportedly plans to settle by November a case with the Nigerian government that alleges the pharmaceutical giant's meningitis drug trials killed 11 children and caused brain damage in and paralyzed others.

The lawyers for both Pfizer and for the prosecution both told a Kano high court Monday that they will settle the dispute by Nov. 27, Agence France-Press reported.
