Microsoft May Face Increase In €2M Daily Fine

Law360, New York (July 11, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Microsoft Corp. could face a €3 million ($3.8 million) daily fine if it continues to defy European antitrust regulators, according to published reports.

Reuters attributed the possible stiff fine to “a diplomatic source.” An E.C. spokesperson declined to comment on the Commission’s pending decision or the proposed increase in fines.
