Crabbers To Sue EPA Over Chesapeake Cleanup

Law360, New York (October 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A coalition of environmental and watermen's groups has notified the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency that it intends to file a lawsuit to force the agency into establishing a firm plan to clean up the Chesapeake Bay, where pollution has led to a steady decline in crabs and crab industry jobs.

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation, the Virginia State Watermen's Association, the Maryland Watermen’s Association and the Maryland Saltwater Sportfishermen’s Association said Wednesday that the suit would aim to force the EPA to reach water pollution reduction targets...
