Mass. Settles With Chemical Makers For $2.3M

Law360, New York (October 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection has settled an air pollution lawsuit with Mantrose-Haeuser Co. Inc. and Zinsser Co. Inc. for $2.3 million in the second-largest settlement ever reached by the state attorney general’s environmental protection division.

Mantrose and Zinsser will pay $2 million in civil penalties and $300,000 toward supplemental environmental projects as part of a settlement agreement finalized on Tuesday.
