Govt. Sues Enbridge Energy Over 2002 Oil Spill

Law360, New York (October 31, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. government has filed a suit against Enbridge Energy over a 2002 pipeline burst that spilled more than 250,000 gallons of crude oil into a wetland area in north-central Minnesota, although both parties have filed a consent decree that outlines a proposed settlement over the spill.
