General Counsel Could Begin Hiring Fewer Firms

Law360, New York (October 31, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- As corporate legal departments look for ways to cut costs, some experts predict that the trend of convergence – or winnowing down the number of law firms a company hires – will grow.

Legal consultants said convergence has been going on for years, albeit under different models. But they think the tactic might now be more often explored as a cost-cutting measure.
