Law360, New York (October 31, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Following months of merger speculation and partner defections, Atlanta-based Powell Goldstein LLP has reportedly agreed to be acquired by Bryan Cave LLP in a move that would create a powerhouse of 1,250 attorneys spread over 15 cities, establishing a considerable presence in Midwestern and Southern litigation corridors.
On Friday legal tabloid Above The Law reported that the 250-attorney firm Powell Goldstein would go under as early as next week, citing an unnamed source.
