Ford Faces Age Discrimination Class Action

Law360, New York (November 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Ford Motor Co. is facing a proposed class action alleging that it discriminated against older employees in Michigan during a recent reduction in force.

The case was filed in July in the Circuit Court of the State of Michigan, County of Wayne, and removed by Ford to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan on Friday, after the company concluded that its claims were preempted by federal law.
