Keyboard Patents Not Infringed, Federal Circuit Says

Law360 (July 17, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A U.S. Appeals Court panel on Thursday upheld a lower court decision that Steelcase Inc. did not violate two Flex-Rest LLC patents related to computer keyboard positioning systems.

In the case, first filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan, Flex-Rest accused Steelcase of suppressing or concealing its invention, thus disqualifying it as prior art and leading to infringement.
