White Fla. Firefighters Sue For Race Bias

Law360, New York (November 4, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Three white firefighters in West Palm Beach, Fla., allege that the city's fire department denied them the opportunity for promotion because of their race.

On Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the firefighters filed an amended complaint alleging the city violated the Florida Civil Rights Act by withholding opportunities for advancement. The firefighters also allege retaliation.
