US Airways Settles De-Icer Product Liability Suit

Law360, New York (November 4, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Four companies will pay US Airways a total of $1.8 million to resolve the airline’s product liability suit after a plane de-icing structure fell over and allegedly caused substantial damage to a plane.

Blank Rome LLP, which represents US Airways in the litigation, said Wednesday that the financial sum brings an end to the suit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Elliott Equipment Corp., Global Ground Support LLC, Fluidics Inc. and Baker & Associates.
