Army Corps Supervisor Pleads Guilty To Taking Bribes

Law360, New York (November 5, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A former supervisor at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Florida pled guilty Tuesday to accepting bribes to allow farming on land that was supposed to be used for Everglades restoration.

Gregory C. Wagner, 58, a construction inspection technician in the Corps' Jacksonville area engineer’s office, will now face up to three years in prison and a criminal fine of up to $250,000. Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 29 before Judge Alan S. Gold of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida....
