British Airways Exec Speaks Out On Price-Fixing

Law360, New York (July 18, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- British Airways PLC Chairman Martin Broughton Tuesday addressed the fuel surcharges price-fixing scandal that has swept through the airline industry.

At Tuesday’s annual meeting of shareholders, Broughton said he hoped for a “swift outcome” to an investigation into his company’s alleged cartel activity launched last month by the U.K. Office of Fair Trading and the U.S. Department of Justice.
