Hammill Sues Over Bone Screw Claims

Law360 (November 6, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Hammill Manufacturing Co. is seeking declaratory judgment in a dispute with an inventor who claims the biomedical supplier owes him royalties for the sale of a patented type of bone screw.

The complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, claims a bone screw sold by Hammill is sufficiently different from a screw invented by Jeffrey Lasner and is not subject to a previous licensing agreement with the inventor.
