Ex-SEC Attorney Sues Agency For Documents

Law360, New York (July 19, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A former U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission attorney dissatisfied with an insider-trading investigation has sued the agency, hoping to win access to documents related to the probe and the termination of his employment.

Former SEC attorney Gary Aguirre has filed a Freedom of Information Act suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia seeking access to documents from the investigation of insider-trading at hedge fund Pequot Capital Management.
