Ethex Issues Another Recall Of Oversize Pills

Law360, New York (November 10, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Fearing “life-threatening” overdoses caused by oversize tablets, generic-drug maker Ethex Corp. has issued a nationwide recall of select batches of five of its products, marking the company's second mass recall in five months.

Ethex, a subsidiary of KV Pharmaceutical Company, initiated Friday the consumer-level recall of approximately 80 lots of generic products that it markets, including cardiovascular, hyperactivity and pain management drugs.

This is the second recall Ethex has initiated since June, when it removed a single lot of pills from the market.
