BankAtlantic Discloses SEC Subpoena

Law360, New York (November 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- BankAtlantic Bancorp Inc. has been subpoenaed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, with the agency looking for more details on some of the company's struggling loans and more information on insider trading, the regional bank disclosed Monday.

In a quarterly filing with the SEC, the Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based bank said it had received a notice of investigation and a subpoena from the Miami regional office of the federal agency.
