Storm Cat Ducks Into Ch. 11 During Dark Times

Law360, New York (November 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. subsidiaries of Storm Cat Energy Corp. have filed for Chapter 11, but the company says it is in negotiations with its lenders to win financing and hopes to continue operating without a hitch.

The subsidiaries filed for Chapter 11 protection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado on Monday, an unsurprising move since Storm Cat said at the end of October that it was unable to make an interest payment on its credit agreements.
