Faulting Economy, White & Case Cuts 70 Associates

Law360, New York (November 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A rough financial market has pressed law firm White & Case LLP to trim its associate head count by 70 and its nonlegal support staff by around 90, the firm announced on Tuesday.

White & Case, which counts over 2,400 attorneys in its ranks, said in a statement that the cutbacks followed a global operations review that took into consideration current and anticipated market conditions and client needs.
