Judge Approves Firm's Malpractice Settlement

Law360, New York (November 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A bankruptcy judge has signed off on a $2.5 million settlement to resolve a malpractice claim against Los Angeles-based firm Levene Neale Bender Rankin & Brill LLP brought by the U.S. trustee overseeing the Chapter 11 case of electronics maker SonicBlue Inc.

Judge Marilyn Morgan approved the good faith settlement at a hearing Monday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California. Levene Neale, which represented the creditors committee in the bankruptcy case, admitted no wrongdoing.
