Landlords, Managers Object To Linens Auction

Law360, New York (November 12, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Claiming that the terms are unfair to landlords, retail property owners and management companies filed at least nine objections this week to bankrupt retailer Linens ‘N Things' plans to auction off property leases as part of its liquidation.

The objections, filed Monday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, included numerous real estate investment companies and property management entities, including Seattle, Wash.-based Hadley Properties LLC and five affiliates of the Oak Brook, Ill.-based Inland Real Estate Corp.
