EU Raids French Biomedical Analysis Firms

Law360, New York (November 13, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Europe's competition watchdog said Thursday that it had carried out unannounced inspections in France along with the country's antitrust officials on two unnamed organizations in the biomedical analysis market.

The European Commission confirmed that it conducted the raids in France on Wednesday and Thursday “on the premises of a business association and an enterprise both active on the biomedical analysis market,” which deals in methods of analyzing medical tests used by hospitals and private practices.
