US Attorneys' Offices' Resources Mismanaged: Audit

Law360 (November 13, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The allocation of resources to the 94 U.S. attorneys' offices around the country is done without any objective process and relies on questionable data, according to an audit released Tuesday by the Justice Department's Office of the Inspector General.

The Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys, the division of the Justice Department responsible for distributing resources to the U.S. attorneys' offices around the country, is also unable to effectively reallocate resources among the offices, the audit found.
