ManorCare, Victims Sue ND Hospital Over Hep C Outbreak

By Dani Kass (March 8, 2016, 5:19 PM EST) -- Twenty-one victims of a North Dakota hepatitis C outbreak on Tuesday teamed up with the HCR ManorCare unit they originally blamed for their infection to sue the hospital where the victims and nursing home allege needle reuse and drug theft by staff caused the spread.

Trinity Hospitals Inc. and Trinity Health Inc. should be held responsible for the outbreak in Minot, North Dakota, the victims and the since-closed ManorCare of Minot ND LLC said, as they failed to take proper steps against the phlebotomist they knew had a history of reusing needles and others they knew were stealing drugs, the complaint...
