As Lawyer Salaries Level Off, Hot Areas Still Pay Big

Law360, New York (November 14, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Although salaries in the legal profession might have leveled off, lawyers practicing in currently hot areas can expect to earn more in 2009, according to an industry salary guide.

Legal recruiting company Robert Half Legal recently published its 2009 Salary Guide, which forecasts next year's starting salaries for lawyers at various levels in different types of law firms and corporate counsel offices.

The guide also forecasts starting salaries for other legal professionals, including paralegals, legal secretaries and librarians.
