Dow Accuses Turkish Competitor Of Trade Secret Theft

Law360, Wilmington (March 10, 2016, 6:55 PM EST) -- Chemical giant Dow accused a Turkish competitor of stealing trade secrets relating to polymer manufacturing by hiring former Dow employees with knowledge of the manufacturing process in a complaint recently transferred to Delaware's Chancery Court.

Dow Chemical Co.'s suit, which was moved to Delaware's Chancery Court on Tuesday, alleges that Organik Kimya Holdings and its subsidiaries hired former Dow employees with extensive knowledge of its business making opaque polymers, which are added to paint. The complaint says that Organik now makes a product that uses the confidential recipe for Dow's Ropaque Ultra polymer.
