CPSC's Immediately Effective Final Rule

Law360 (November 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- In sudden fashion, on Nov. 10, 2008, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) took the unusual step of issuing an Immediately Effective Final Rule (Final Rule).

The Final Rule provided guidance on a key section of the new Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA) by addressing widespread concerns with the general conformity certification provision.
