Alere Hit With DOJ Subpoena In FCPA Investigation

Law360, New York (March 15, 2016, 5:31 PM EDT) -- Diagnostic service provider Alere Inc. said Tuesday that it has received a grand jury subpoena from the U.S. Department of Justice related to sales practices in Africa, Asia and Latin America and other Foreign Corrupt Practices Act matters.

Alere disclosed the subpoena in a Form 8-K filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, saying that the DOJ is investigating sales practices and how the company dealt with foreign distributors and government officials.
