Obama Taps Kentucky High Court Justice For 6th Circ.

Law360, New York (March 21, 2016, 4:42 PM EDT) -- President Barack Obama has nominated a Kentucky Supreme Court justice and founding partner of Reed Weitkamp Schell & Vice PLLC to serve on the Sixth Circuit, a move already facing staunch opposition by Republican leadership.

Obama said he was “extremely pleased” to put Judge Lisabeth "Lisa" Tabor Hughes forward for a seat with the Sixth Circuit, noting her long legal career and reputation for fairness, a White House announcement said Thursday.
